The body of a newborn baby has been discovered in a recycling facility in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
The Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the baby who body was discovered this morning.
The State Pathologist has been notified of the discovery and the area is being preserved for a full forensic examination.
Senior detectives at the scene are making inquiries at the facility as part of the investigation.
The area has been cordoned off however recycling trucks are still operating at the premises.
The operators of the recycling facility, Greenstar have said they are fully supportive of the Gardai and their efforts in this investigation but refused to make any further statement.
