Ten year old Kyler Bradley died last week after being diagnosed with cancer and his family and friends gave him a heroes send-off.

The young boy was diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma.

In just over a week after his diagnosis, Kyler became wheelchair-bound and later required a ventilator to breathe.

After a six month battle, Kyler passed away on April 12th.

In honour of the young boy’s short but well-lived life, his mum Rebecca wanted to have a special funeral that would honour his memory and incorporate some of his favourite things.

Namely, superheroes.

With Captain America, Thor, Spiderman and Wolverine all taking part in the ceremony, it was a true showcase of all that Kyler loved and aspired to be.

Kyler was an inspiration to thousands of others as he bravely fought his cancer.

He was even made an honourary fire and police chief in tribute to who he was and how he dealt with his diagnosis.

His heroic spirit was evident in those who attended his funeral as many wore tshirts saying “Kyler Strong”.
