In an effort to highlight the importance of promoting a positive message when it comes to female body image, one incredibly courageous mum decided to strip off in Boise Capital City Public Market in Idaho.

Standing blindfolded wearing nothing more than underwear, Amy Pence-Brown clutched a collection of markers which members of the public could use to decorate Amy's body.

By drawing hearts on the brave mum, onlookers and passersby asserted they supported both self-acceptance and those who have struggled with self-esteem issues.

A sign resting against Amy's knees explained her social experiment, reading: "I’m standing here for anyone who has struggled with a self-esteem issue like me, because all bodies are valuable."

"To support self-acceptance, draw a <3 on my body," Amy, who describes her self as a 'nearly 40-year-old fat feminist mother" requested.

Amy, who admits she was 'worried no one would draw a heart', was soon on the receiving end of numerous hugs by members of the public who found themselves moved by the 39-year-old mum's bravery.

Commenting on the success of the experiment, Amy, who was inspired by an Australian group who conducted the same experiment in London recently, subsequently took to her blog to express her gratitude.

"You blew my mind with your kindness, you saw the beauty in my body and your own. You are ready for a body positive revolution, and I’m honoured to stand by your side. Take my hand, if you need, and I’ll pull you up," she wrote.

We thinks she's incredible.
