Having lost one of their wedding rings in Pearse Street train station this week, a newly married couple have appealed to the public for help.

Tom Walsh, who tied the knot with wife, Grace, just five weeks ago was devastated to realise he had mislaid her wedding ring after deciding to take it to a Dublin jewellers on Thursday.

The couple, who wed on June 19th, planned to get Grace's ring altered, but unfortunately the piece of jewellery became separated from a devasted Tom during rush hour at the Dublin train station.

Opening up about the incident, Tom explained: "I had it in my wallet. I put it in a location of my wallet where I always put in my guitar plectrums, and they never fall out. They didn’t fall out but the ring obviously did."

Having removed his Leap card from his wallet at approximately 08.50, Tom believes the ring may have gotten lost among morning commuters, saying: "I’ve gone back down to Pearse Station with the staff to try and find it, and we were scouring the floor but we couldn’t find it."

The ring, which is silver in colour with diamonds along the top, is understandably of huge significance, with Tom saying: "It’s five weeks of marriage, that’s what the ring means to us, this is of sentimental value."

Despite scouring the station with the help of staff members, Tom and Grace have had no luck locating the 'small, delicate' ring.

Determined to stay positive, Tom admits: "I’m hoping someone’s going to be good enough that when they see it’s a wedding ring, that they might hand it in."
