Now that we have somehow rolled into the summer months, we’re entering an important time for Leaving Certificate students. Exams are around the corner, which means that our teens are just about ready to take the first step on the path to their future careers.
It’s of crucial importance to note, then, that the Central Applications Office’s (CAO) ‘Change of Mind’ period begins today, from 12pm.
During this period, those intending to study at third level next year – Leaving Cert students and mature students alike – will be able to remove and add courses to their CAO list, as well as readjust the order of courses they set out earlier this year.
Students will be able to avail of this facility until July 1st, and can do so by clicking on to CAO.ie.
For those students hoping to get into ‘restricted entry’ courses, there will most likely be factors preventing you from doing so, so be sure to read the entry requirement details for any courses of interest.
According to reports, over 76,000 people throughout the country have applied for third-level courses this year.
If you have a Leaving Cert or mature student in the house, this is information that is definitely worth sharing.
