As any parent out there will be only too aware of, getting and fitting the right car seat for your little ones is incredibly important, which is why this latest report is so frightening.
A child’s car seat has been recalled following an incident whereby a 22-month-old boy was forcibly thrown out of the seat when the driver had to make an emergency stop.
The Kiddu Lane 123 Car seat has been removed from the shelves at Tesco and Asda following the shocking incident.
Mum Stacey Tennant reportedly bought the seat for her son Koby, and fitted in into a relative’s car ahead of a trip. However, the safety buckle failed during the emergency stop, with Koby said to have landed on the gear stick; he suffered serious bruising on his head as a result.
Stacey then took to her social media channels this week to share a video warning other parents of the potential danger associated with the seat. The video has since gone viral, with the aforementioned retailers opting to cease sale of the range.
Check out the video below.
Please Share:Kiddu Lane 123 Car seat purchased from Tesco but available at many other retailers including Asda. Three weeks ago this car seat was returned to Tescos after the Car seat buckle failed on its first use. The store manager and her staff all demonstrated the same fault as we did in this video. When an Emergency stop was performed my 22 month old child was thrown out of his seat in the back and he landed on the gear stick in the front. He was bruised and is still traumatised by it as he screams when we now put him in a car seat. Today I chased up Kiddu who initially said they would send us their report. They have since said they wont be sending us it and will be doing nothing. Meanwhile this seat is still on sale and we are going Viral to prevent any further injuries or worse- a fatality. Please return this seat and insist on a refund.
