Carey Hart has yet again caused major outrage online after he revealed he is teaching his seven-year-old daughter Willow how to shoot rifle.
The dad took to Instagram to share a video of his little girl shooting and his followers were utterly shocked by the post.
The dad captioned the controversial video: “Haven’t poked the parent police bear in a few days. Willz and I shooting the 22 rifle. She is getting pretty good.”
He added: “Can hit a 12 inch pie plate from 30 yards. Started her shooting at 3yrs old. For the record none of us hunt, just enjoy shooting for sport. I’m raising the kids with knowledge of fire arms, how to handle them, shoot them, store them, and avoid them in uneducated hands. #knowledgeispower.”
Carey’s followers were quick to comment on his decision to teach his children about fire arms and many were furious about his choice.
One parent said: “Guns in ordinary homes are unnecessary and never safe. I am British and I’m a mother and I am eternally grateful for the gun ban in my country.”
Another asked: “School shootings arent enough to keep your child away from guns and not glamourise them? This is wrong on every level.”
Many others praised Carey for educating his daughter about gun safety and said it was a good way for her to protect herself.
One said: “Not a fan of guns in general but what you do with your kids is your business.”
