Carrie Underwood suffered a fall in November, an incident that left her with a broken wrist and 40 stitches in her face.

The former American Idol star recently wrote to her fan club to update them on her wellbeing, the Irish Examiner reports.

While the injuries she sustained were harrowing, the country star remains 'grateful that it wasn't much, much worse'.

Her positive outlook is an absolute beacon of hope.

"It's crazy how a freak random accident can change your life," the mum-of-one wrote, "I am determined to make 2018 amazing and I want to share things with you along the way."

"And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different."

"I'm hoping that, by then, the differences are minimal, but, again, I just don't know how it's all going to end up," the 34-year-old revealed.

Carrie's fans have rallied around her, taking to social media to show their support for the 'Before He Cheats' singer.

"You're still beautiful inside and out. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder dear one!" one person commented on a wintry photo where a scarf covers most of the songstress' face.

Thank you!

"You don’t have to be flawless to be beautiful," another Insta follower said.

Shortly after the accident happened, her husband, hockey player Mike Fisher, went on Instagram to thank people for their kind words.

"I'm reminded that there are so many good people in this world," he said gratefully.

The outpouring of love for her really is amazing! We wish Carrie a speedy recovery and a wonderful 2018.
