Five-year-old Danielle Koning got the surprise of a lifetime yesterday during her adoption finalisation hearing.

It was caseworker, Kristina Grey who came up with the idea to surprise the little girl with 8 of her favourite Disney princesses to celebrate the big day.

Laura Mitchell from Samaritas Foster Care Programme and Child and Family services told ABC News:

"It was a special situation that really snowballed out of a request from Danielle’s caseworker, who knew Danielle loved Cinderella so much"

With one of the case workers baring a resemblance to Cinderella, it wasn't long before more signed up to play make-believe as well.

Danielle's new mom, Sarah said:

“She was shocked when the princesses first came in.

“The look on her face was priceless.”

Danielle has been in the care of the Konings since March 2014 and the new family were delighted to finally make it official with the help of Judge Patricia Gardner, who also joined in on the Disney fun.

Laura said of the momentous occasion:

“It’s obviously a very meaningful day, a joyous occasion.

“The hearing is definitely a celebration that the kids now have forever families. And it shows the love and compassion that our case workers have.”
