Celebrity dad of the year award have announced their nominees.

Prince William has been shortlisted.

The Duke of Cambridge is a dad to four-year-old Prince George, Princess Charlotte who is three-years-old, and the newest arrival, Prince Louis who is just a month old.

Prince William certainly has his hands full with three tots under the age of five.

Video emerged soon after the birth of Prince Louis, that most parents can relate to with a newborn in the house.

Poor Prince William struggled to keep his eyes open during a ceremony to mark Anzac day.

The competition will be stiff for the Duke, as other celebrity dads that made the cut include Rio Ferdinand and Liam Payne.

Simon Cowell, broadcaster Simon Thomas and David Walliams are also in the running.

Two of the dads nominated have recently overcome the terrible loss of their partners.

Footballer Rio Ferdinand lost his wife and the mother of his three children to breast cancer in 2015.

His documentary, 'Being Mum and Dad' was awarded a BAFTA earlier this month

Meanwhile, presenter Simon Thomas is mourning the loss of his partner Gemma Thomas.

The couple shares eight-year-old Ethan together.

Reportedly, Simon shares letters with fans that he has written for his son, to cope with the sudden passing of his wife.

The mum-of-one gained her wings three days after she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia.

The diagnosis is a type of blood cancer that affects the bone marrow.
