Christmas is a time of giving, and thanks to an amazing new campaign launched this week by IKEA, you can give back to a worthy cause with the simple purchase of a children’s toy or game.

With the festive season just around the corner, IKEA has taken children’s love of toys and launched a Soft Toy Campaign to raise much-needed funds for Save the Children and UNICEF education projects around the world.

Lending a hand at today’s launch was Xposé presenter Karen Koster and best-selling author Cathy Kelly, who got to grips with IKEA’s new must-have cuddly toys and games.

What is so special about this new range, is that it was designed by children for children. IKEA asked kids all over the world to let their imaginations run wild and create some spectacular creatures as part of the Soft Toys Drawing Competition. These designs then inspired the new range, which features a skunk, a tiger, a dinosaur and even a blue one-eyed blob!

For every soft toy, children’s book or children’s card game sold between now and December 19, 2015, IKEA Foundation will donate €1 to support educational programmes run by UNICEF and Save the Children around the world. Furthermore, for every kids meal sold during the campaign, customers will receive a €1 soft toy coupon which can be redeemed in store toward any children’s soft toy.

So, if you want to give back this Christmas, it couldn’t be easier or more worthwhile.
