When this domesticated cat assumed that the welfare of a baby was under question, he did everything in his power to protect the infant.

In a set-up which was initiated to test the cat's reactions, a father pretended to scold his infant and repeatedly tapped the side of its carry-cot

Despite the fact the child made no indication that it was unsettled by the man's behaviour, the cat immediately leaped to the child's defence and threw himself against the father in an effort to stop the 'attack.'

Repeatedly uttering the phrase 'naughty baby', the father continued to fend off the cat's attack until he was eventually distracted by the pain the cat inflicted on his outstretched arm.
