Children react to new doll with average woman’s proportions

A toy maker has created a doll with the measurements and features of a regular 19-year-old woman, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

 

Nickolay Lamm decided to make the Lammily doll after growing concerned over the impractical body ideals presented by traditional toys such as Barbie.

 

Lammily is described as being just like an average 19-year-old, and has a sticker-extension pack complete with freckles, acne and cellulite.

 

After the launch of the Lammily doll, Lamm decided to test his creation out on young children to see what they thought of this reimagined toy doll.

 

In a video posted by the toymaker on YouTube, children from the second grade in St Edmund’s Academy in Pittsubrgh examine the doll and share their reactions.

 

When presented with Lammily and Barbie, the children’s observations prove interesting to say the least.
