Children’s ‘stranger danger’ experiment yields terrifying results

We recently shared a disturbing video in which a child was let wander the streets as part of a social experiment, to see if strangers would stop to help her. What played out for the camera was hard-hitting and, in some parts, frightening, and we have yet another powerful video to share today.

 

As part of a social experiment, vlogger Joey Salads decided to test a group of children in order to see if they would open the door to a stranger whom they had never met before.

 

For the experiment, Joey spoke to each parent before calling to the house; he asked them to set up a camera, and to ensure that they were nowhere nearby when he called to the door.

 

Joey then proceeded to call to the door of each house, where the children greeted him. Not only did every child answer the door to him, but they also went so far as to invite him inside.

 

What is truly disturbing about this video is that these children had all been taught about stranger danger, and had previously been warned not to open the door to strangers. It just goes to show that we need to constantly reiterate these safety rules.
