The actress, who plays Fiz Stape in the soap, tweeted the happy news this evening, saying, "On Saturday our lives changed forever with the arrival of our baby boy Albert. Happiness and pride like never before x."
The star has been with partner Chris Farr for nine years.
As well as her acting work, Jennie co-owns a restaurant in Manchester with Chris.
The couple first revealed that they were expecting a child back in May.
Jennie's co-stars were quick to congratulate her on the new arrival. Kym Marsh posted this sweet message:
Former Coronation Street stars Natalie Gumede and Chris Bisson also shared messages of delight at Jennie's annoucement. Natalie took to Twitter to say, "What wonderful news" while Chris also congratulated Jennie on her "amazing news."
