Classic Coronation Street character, Norman (Curly) Watts, may be set for a return to the soap.
Curly, played by Kevin Kennedy, was a character on the soap from 1983 up until 2003.
He is now taking part in Coronation Street :The Tour, acting as a guide, which gives fans a chance to see the old set at the Quay Street site in Manchester.
However, the actor has also said that he would love to see Curly return to the show and remains hopeful about the future: “It’s very gratifying to know that fans still remember me and what we did here and the storylines ... there is no secret that I would love to do some more Corrie but as far as I know there are no plans. I have a great relationship with Coronation Street and always have and if the opportunity arises then you know I would be very happy about it and if it doesn’t, well, that’s life.”
