There has been a spate of incidents involving baby monitor hacking in recent times, and this has to be one of the most chilling stories we have ever heard.

A couple have urged parents everywhere to be careful when using monitoring systems, after receiving a frightening message while watching their child sleep.

Jared Denman revealed this week that he was keeping an eye on his daughter via video when he heard the song ‘Every Breath You Take’ by The Police playing.

While the parents at first thought it was some kind of joke being played out by a member of the family, they quickly realised they had been the victim of a hacking.

“Our privacy was just invaded. Someone was playing ‘Every Breath You Take by The Police. He started doing sexual noises on the camera,” Jared’s terrified wife told local media.

Jared then searched online to see if other families had been affected by this predator, only to discover that this was not the first incident of its kind. According to reports, this predator also has a Twitter account through which he brags about his hacking breaches.

Referring to the parents of the children in the published videos, Jared said: “It agitated me a lot because who is to know if those people are even aware that the videos have been posted online. We kind of felt violated and we didn’t feel secure in our own home.”

Experts have previously advised parents to have a strong wireless network password, and to change the username and password provided by your internet company.
