This is the easiest and most beautiful children’s craft, and there are so many exciting ways of presenting it. Why not arrange the handprints into a tree design or a cute animal? Try incorporating Dad’s favourite things into the presentation.
As they say, half the work is in the presentation, and this is a terrific idea for Father’s Day. Simply take the scissors to either side of a brown paper bag, cutting a quarter into the top tab. Then, all you need to do is fold either side down into the ‘shirt collar’ shape, and staple or glue it down.
A personalised gift always goes down a treat. Why not follow in this creative crafter’s footsteps by snapping a special message to Dad, presenting it in a slick photo frame? He is guaranteed to love it.
‘Cement’ your little one’s love for their dad with this adorable craft. Just mix together one cup of salt, one cup of flour and a half-cup of water and roll out your mixture on a hard surface. Press your child’s foot down on the surface, personalise your creation, then cook it at 100 degrees for two hours.

Does Dad have a favourite comic book hero? Why not get creative with the kids, and create a homemade photo frame, covered with scenes from his treasured comics? Just be careful not to cut up that extremely rare vintage number from his collection!
This is a great twist on the traditional Father’s Day card. Take eight wooden lolly-sticks and decorate them on one side. Next, get your little one to write a list of their favourite things about their dad, or a personal message of their choice. Glue the sticks horizontally to the back of the paper, allow to dry, then roll up the ‘card’ and tie with a ribbon.
