The Game:
- Place some dirt and leaves into the bottom of a jar and poke some air holes in the lid.
- Look for insects in the garden, paying attention to flower beds, bushes and the underside of stones.
- Once you have found an insect, scoop it up with the spoon and carefully put it in the jar.
- Keep the insect for a day and examine it using the magnifying glass.
- Remember to release it back into the garden when you’re finished.
