A father has come in for major criticism after sharing a video himself surfing with his nine-month-old son.

While most children of his age are making tentative attempts at crawling, Jorge Tirado’s son has been riding the waves, with the evidence captured by a live-action Go Pro camera.
Needless to say, a number of concerned and alarmed parents have slammed Tirado over the highly dangerous move (at one point, the baby is seen going under water in a wave), but he has defended his actions.
“I encourage you to safely bring your kids to the ocean, after all the ocean is the place where it all began. By far, this is the best sport for your spiritual, mental and physical health,” he said.
