Social media users were left reeling after footage emerged which showed Hungarian camerawoman, Petra Laszlo, tripping Osama Abdul Mohsen, who was cradling his seven-year-old son, Zaid, at the time.

Documenting a group of refugees in the process of fleeing police officers, Petra used her leg to trip up Osama as he attempted to run by her.

Unable to protect his son following the camerawoman's cruel action, the middle-aged refugee landed on top of the little boy before expressing disbelief at Petra's actions.

Despite turning to shout at her, Petra, who reportedly kicked other migrants while documenting their plight, continued to film the man's distress in a move which has since resulted in her dismissal.

However, it seems that the incident is long forgotten by the father, but not because he has forgiven the former camerawoman.

Talking to the Telegraph recently, the father said that he has bigger things to worry about, in particular looking after his family.

“I forget about her because I am looking for my family and my future. I don’t know any news about her now,” he said from his office at the Cenafe football coaching academy where he was given a job by Cenafe chairman Miguel Ángel following the video.

“I think she doesn’t have a job. Some people in Hungary hate this woman and she is angry for this.”

Explaining that he just wants to move on from the stress of having to travel across Europe last summer, the father said he wants to focus on getting his wife and other two children to Madrid.

Osama arrived in the Spanish capital with his sons Zaid and Mohammed last September, but his wife remains in Turkey as he tries to seek asylum for her.

“I have sent in all the documents for asylum for my wife, but it is very slow. She asks me on the telephone ‘Why do I have to wait?’ Here in Spain I have a job and I have food but it is very difficult for the family to be separated. Zaid is very small and every night he cries for his mama.”
