Davina McCall has always been open about her troubled past, but today the mum-of-three opened up to the Loose Women about the moment she realised she had to cut her own mum from her life.
Talking to the Loose Women panel, Davina said that her mum Florence ‘cashed’ in on her drugs and alcohol abuse a few weeks before her wedding by revealing a visit to narcotics anonymous.

And while Florence, as Davina explained to the panellists, had already sold stories about her it was this one that made it seem like she was about to relapse that really pushed her too far.
“I told her about it [selling stories],” the 49-year-old said. “She didn't think it was a big deal - and then she did it again.”
“I built a bridge with my mum for the wedding, but then my husband said that has to be it.”

Careful not to seen bashing her mum, the former Big Brother presenter said that while Florence was an amazing mum “she didn’t know how to behave on a human level.”
“I don't want to be a victim, nor be portrayed as one,” Davina told the panel.
“If I can teach anyone anything [from my struggle], that will be a good thing.”
