Tusla is going to court today to explain why they returned two children to their family even after serious abuse allegations were made.

 

The Child and Family Agency will appear at the High Court to explain why the children who were taken into care four years who were then returned to their parents.

 

The children were four and two at the time when there were worries about neglect, violence and even substance abuse.

 

The childrens’ two older siblings were also removed from the family and placed in care.

 

 

Tusla heard about the childrens’ worrying behaviour from their foster parents who said the kids were displaying sexualised behaviour.

 

Tusla withdrew their request to keep the children with their foster family last may which meant they returned home to their birth family.

 

A full hearing is to take place in the High Court today to see if the children should be allowed to return home.
