He may be a devoted father who earned a reported $54 million in 2016 alone, but Gordon Ramsay will not be leaving his fortune to his four children.

The celebrity chef made the admission during a candid interview with The Telegraph, in which he revealed how he and wife Tana keep 15-year-old Matilda, 17-year-old twins Jack and Holly, and 18-year-old Megan humble.

Just like TV presenter and mum-of-three Davina McCall, 50-year-old Gordon admitted that his children will not be inheriting his millions.

“It’s definitely not going to them, and that’s not in a mean way; it’s to not spoil them. The only thing I’ve agreed with Tana is they get a 25 percent deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat,” he said.

Admitting that the kids don’t even join himself and Tana in first class when they fly, Gordon went on to reveal the his extremely logical reasoning for this.

“They haven’t worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that. At that age, at the size, you’re telling me they need to sit in first class? No, they do not. We’re really strict on that…I worked my arse off to sit that close to the pilot, and you appreciate it more when you’ve grafted for it,” he said.

Gordon’s commitment to ensuring his children grow up grateful and with the same shared work ethic is also reflected in the details of their weekly allowances.

“Meg’s at uni and has a budget of £100 a week. The others get about £50 a week, and they have to pay for their own phones, their bus fare. The earlier you give them that responsibility to save for their own trainers and jeans, the better,” he added.

During the incredibly honest interview, Gordon also touched on the subject of wife Tana’s heartbreaking miscarriage with their fifth child, last year.

The F Word star revealed that the love and support of close friends including Jamie and Jools Oliver, and David and Victoria Beckham helped them through the tragic time. He added that dealing with the heart-wrenching loss together also ‘made the family unit even tighter’.
