In this day and age when we are all trying to cut back on processed foods I was delighted when Denny emphaised that they are 100% natural In my house with 2 teenagers and 2 always hungry boyfriends toasted sandwiches are always being made, they all loved the crumbed ham particularly followed by the honey glaze. I found 3 slices great because sometimes with the 5 slices we dont use them quick enough. I will definitely be buying this range again. Thanks Denny.

As a mother too 2 young boys i spend most of my time making snacks so i would normal buy at least 2 family packets of denny crumbled ham. I was delighted when my samples came as denny has always been our first choice for meat . I used the oaksmoked ham for the boys dinner with mash potatoes and veg they really enjoyed it . My youngest who is normally a very fussy eater decided to eat the pack of honey glazed ham on its own after making me heat it in the oven he really enjoyed this and it was a great snack especially when its 100% natural ingredients. Unfortunately it only lasted the one day but i think even if there was double the amount in the packets it wounldnt have lasted much longer as my boys are still asking for it :) I will be buying this the next time i see it :)

We received our ham on Saturday and couldn't have come at a better time just home from swimming so very hungry . My husband's favourite was the smoked one and my daughter's was the crumbed one.
We used some that evening in a pasta dish and it was yum yum nice bite in it.

We will definitely buying this again. I hope the 3 slices pack will also come in bigger packs too

My 5 year old daughter was not happy when it was gone and can't wait for us to buy more. . It didn't even last long enough to get put in her school lunch sandwich!

I was really impressed with this new thicker style of ham from Denny. It was a real hit with my husband who felt like he finally had a proper amount of meat in his lunchtime sandwich. I have three young boys and I think they all still prefer the regular Denny ham. This is what they usually have for their school lunch.
We would use sliced ham quite a lot, in sandwiches, omelettes or salads. I liked the fact that there are no artificial additivies or preservatives in the Denny ham. A lot of packed meats can have a 'wet' feel but this did not. My preference was for the oak smoked flavour but my husband preferred the crumb coat saying it was like 'proper ham'.
I would definitely buy this ham again. My only criticism is that a pack of three slices goes nowhere in a family of five and bigger packs would be preferable.

Usually I buy ham only for picnics with the family (I use it in sandwiches). It‘s because I try to eat healthy, hams are ussually made with artificial colours and preservatives, are very high in salt (I have toddler, so I try do not use salt at all, when it‘is possible).
Only thing I did‘t liked about Denny Deli Style 100% Natural Ingredients Thicker Cut Ham is that 3 slices isn't enough for a family of 3 and it could be less salty. I would consider buying this ham again, if it would be packs off 5 or 6 slices.
I found all the 3 types of the Denny ham tasted great. If I had to choose a favourite, it would be the Oak smoked one (my partner thinks the same)- it was really delicious. We used the honey glazed and the oak smoked ones in sandwiches, we had picnick on Saturday. The crumb coated I used for topping on homemade pizza, it was delicious, because ham is thicker, you can feel the taste even if you bake it.
What I mostly like about this ham is that this ham has no artificial additives and preservatives. Overall, I and my family liked this ham a lot. Thanks for letting me take part in your trial :-)

mine arrived on Saturday morning and we were dying to try it but were on our way out when it arrived omg they make lovely toasties can actually taste the ham its lovely warmed up in coking aswell as cold everyone enjoyed it i usually but the twin pack 100% natural crumbed ham which is lovely and really good value and i think that the only thing that would put me off buying the new thick cut ham the price for 3 slices i'm a single mum of 2 ages 4 and 12 so ham is very popular in this house this is perfect for cooking with or an extra to nice salad but think it would be bit expensive for a day to day lunch in this household but it was really yummy :)

Ham is the most popular sandwich filler in our house and the 3 boys (aged 4, 9 and 40 something!) loved the thicker cut. The different flavours were very popular too with the smokey style being the favourite.

We only had in sandwiches this time round but the thick cut would be perfect for cooking with pasta in perhaps a creamy mushroom and ham sauce or also popped on a pizza. I would defintiely buy it again and if I had one suggestion it would be - put more slices in the pack.....at least mum would definitely get a look in....!

I recieved the Denny package late Saturday afternoon and put them in the fridge out of the way from the kids. I did notice that the packaging was very nice and that there was only 3 slices in each pack. On making sandwiches a slice of ham just about filled a sandwhich which is ideal for kids but for an adult sandwhich I could imagine two slices would need to be used.
The sandwhiches were eaten and no complaints which i didnt expect. The smoked ham has still not been opened yet.... I thought maybe there could of been more as I didnt get to experiment with using the ham as an ingredient in some of the dinners which was a shame. The two packs so far have gone on lunches in two days. I do like that Denny's ham is natural in every way which is important to me and knowing their is no unwanted additives.... For that reason I would purchase again but would like to see more than 3 slices.

I usually buy at least 1 pk (10 slices) of the crumbed ham during the week. Occasionally, we'll use it in sambos, but most of the time, I add it to other dishes that I'm cooking (quiche, pasta bake etc). When I do that, I get through nearly the whole pack, so I was interested to see how the thicker cut went.
I made a ham & veg quiche using the oak smoked ham. My God, it was divine! I only used 2 slices, and it added so much flavour. Went down a treat with me, hubby & my 1 year old son. We had the honey glazed the next day, with salad (along with the remaining slice of the smoked!) Really nice also, but I found it a bit salty tasting for my personal liking. The crumbed went into a pasta bake, but again, I only needed to add 2 slices (to feed all 3 of us, and some left over)
It's like having some nice, thick cut homecooked ham on hand! The price is fair also, esp. given that 5 slices of the regular cut are €1.99, and the thicker cut ham stretched better.
The packaging is nice & simple, and suits the product. I will definitely buy it when it's available on general sale. Think my favourite oak smoked, will have I nice place on our weekly menu!

I received my denny trial pack last Saturday and it is well gone!! I have 4 kids under 8, so it all went in a couple of days! We all loved the crumbled ham but only my husband enjoyed the smoked - I found it abit too strong in flavour! The slices were way too small though - we had to put 1.5 slices in each sandwich for the kids lunches, so we only got about 4 lunches out of 2 packs! The slices were lovely and thick but again just not enough for family of 6 in each pack. I would have added some to pasta is there was more or even with salad it would be yum! Thanks for the freebies but definitely make the slices and packets bigger !

We eat quite a bit of ham in this household, averaging 2 packs per week. We use it for packed lunches, salads, toasted sandwiches and omelettes or homemade pizzas.
I did recognise the ham was part of the 100% natural ingredients range as this is the range I have bought since it was launched. I make every effort to eat as healthily as possible as long as it's not cost prohibitive. This is of great importance to me as I have two small children.
I enjoyed the taste of the new thicker cut ham and would choose Honey Glazed as my favourite though my husband preferred the Crumb coated.
I would certainly buy the thicker cut ham in the future though 3 slices in very little in a pack as I normally buy a pack of 10. Despite their thicker cut, the size is considerably smaller meaning that a pack of 3 would only make 2 sandwiches (1.5 slices in each) . I think I would continue to buy the thinner slices for sandwiches for this reason. The thicker slices I would use for pasta, salads, baked potato toppings, quiches , etc etc but in this regard, I would prefer if they were even thicker than they actually are at present!! So for me, I'd prefer more slices per pack, bigger slices and thicker slices!!! I would be willing to pay accordingly.

Firstly, thanks for letting me try Denny 100% Natural ingreedients thicker cut ham.
My ham was delivered last Saturday and as soon as my 4year old saw it she asked for it, she is very brand aware when it comes to the Denny 100% natural ham! I asked her did she want me to make her a sandwich with it and she said no she just wanted it in her hand. We eat ham every two to three days here. It is used mostly for sandwiches, lunch or a snack, but I also on occasion rip it up and add it to scrambled eggs.
The only ham we eat is a joint of ham that we get in the butchers and cook ourselves or Denny 100% natural ham. My husband did do the shopping a couple of weeks ago and bought a supermarket own brand ham and I wouldn't use it. He wasn't to happy about that until I made him look at the ingreedients and compare them to the Denny 100% natural ham I bought the day after he had been shopping. He then said he knew which ham he would buy in future i.e. Denny 100% natural ham. I know I may sound like a snob but the taste is very different. The Denny 100% natural tastes fresher, like ham you have cooked yourself and has no artifical ingreedients so you know what is in it.
I loved the thicker cut version. I had it with a salad and chopped it up to put with pasta too. The children ate it by itself and on sandwiches. My husband had some on a sandwich but said he prefers the thinner version. My favourite of the three was the oak smoked with the honey glazed comeing next, My daughters favourite was the crumb coated.
I would buy this ham again and use it for pasta, salads and sandwiches. I do think that Denny should consider doing the 100% natural ingreedient ham in cubes / torn pieces to make it easier to add to dishes like pasta and scrambled egg.

I have three kids who need lunches every day for school and I also take a pack lunch to work myself, so there is always a stock of cooked meats in the fridge.

I have to say that I was already a fan of Denny crumbed ham and my youngest would take a roll of ham as a snack in her lunch box.

My immediate reaction was 'there is no way a pack of 3 slices is going to be enough for us', but I was pleasantly surprised. The cut is so thick that one slice is enough for a sandwich, and there is no necessity to add an extra slice as I would normally do.

The Crumb coated was an immediate hit with everyone and only one slice made it as far as the bread. Great flavour and knowing that there are no artificial additives is comforting & I was happy to let the kids snack on it.

The Oak smoaked slices had a lovely smell as soon as you opened the pack - not too strong. The kids weren't getting their hands on this one & I added it chopped to a mushroom omlette. Because of the thickness I really felt like I was having a proper meal & the flavour of the oak smoked was delicious.

The Honey Glazed was also a hit, but with the older kids. They enjoyed this in a crispy bread roll with lettuce, cheese, tomato & mayo - a bit like a BLT, but using the Denny ham in place of the bacon - a much healthier option, so a hit with me also.

If I had one suggestion - it would be to have 4 or 5 slices in the pack as 3 went too quickly, but I would definately buy them in the future.

Firstly, thank you to both Mummy Pages & Denny Ham for selecting us to trial this new thicker cut ham.

We would have ham for lunches, suppers & snacks several times a week. Our 1st impressions was it was clear that the ham was from the the New Natural Ingredients range & I liked the packaging. Denny is now the only ham we buy because it has no artificial preservatives or additives, so this is a critical issue for our family.

Onto the the ham itself, our preferred ham by a mile was the honey glazed ham. It was delicious in sandwiches, baked potatoes & in carbonara. We found the crumb coated traditional ham a little bland for some reason, even though we love the non thicker version. The oak smoked ham was too strong for our taste in sandwiches but was nice mixed with the honey roast in both the carbonara & an omelette.

I found the packet size too small for a family of 2 adults & 2 children and feel at rrp of €1.99 it would be an expensive option compared to the normal ham. I would also prefer the sIices themselves to be bigger so they fit the bread more. I may buy the honey glazed ham occassionally as a treat or possibly as the meat element of the kids dinner if stuck for time etc.

I was delighted to get my package delivered last week and I was looking forward to tasting the different types of ham. I love toasted ham sandwiches and would probably buy ham once or twice a week. I loved all the different styles and truth be told the packages didn't last long in our house. All the packages tasted so fresh and I loved the way the slices were thicker cut. I am sometimes put off buying ham at the supermarket when I see the bits of fat running through the slices and was delighted to be able to say this did not happen in the case of Denny Thicker Cut Ham. I would definetly use this ham in omelettes and with baked potatoes salads, the list is endless in how many ways thisham could be used. I love the fact that this Denny ham is 100% natural and has no artifical additives or preservatives. This would be a big factor as to why I would buy this ham in the future. I really loved the tast and think the crumb coated was my favourite although we enjoyed all three varieties.
