Thank you very much for allowing me to partake in this survey.
Our pack arrived last Friday. It is all gone. ;)
We are a family of 5: 2 adults and 3 children, aged 3 - 7. (2 school going).
We eat ham a lot in this house. I seem to be constantly buying multipacks and they disappear in a flash. We regularly buy Dennys 10 packs of crumbed ham but I will occasionally try other brands. It is safe to say we eat ham almost every day.
Ham would would be eaten in sandwiches that the children take to school and also wraps. We also use them to make toasted sandwiches and occasionally omelettes.
I did notice that the ham was 100% Natural and it is great to see this considering my children eat so much of it.
We all tried the ham. My husband particularly liked the thicker cut of ham. Personally I prefer the original thinner slices as do my children. However, it was particularly enjoyable in a toasted sandwich.
We all preferred the crumbed ham flavour, followed by the honey glaze flavour but unfortunately we did not particularly like the oak smoked ham. We felt it was too hard/dry even though I did like the flavour. It was just the texture that was not enjoyed.
I would consider buying this ham again in the future, however only occasionally. I would like to eat the crumbed variety only for toasted sandwiches and my husband enjoys this in ordinary sandwiches, however on a regular basic I think it would prove too expensive so I will be sticking to the thinner type ham. I certainly wouldn't put it in a sandwich for the children at school as they didn't like it.
Thank you once again.

I received my pack on Friday and needless to say it was all gone by monday. We always have ham at home and Denny is the brand of choice. We like the fact that we can trust that is 100% ham, and having small children at home, one of our main priorities is that they eat as naturally and healthily as possible. We loved all the packs but i think our favourite was the honey glazed one. My little girl absolutely loved it, so i will make sure that from now on we always have it in our fridge. I used the ham to make sandwiches for my husband and my little girl, and as i am trying to lose my baby weight (i have another little girl under the age of one) i used the ham to make salads for me. It can get very boring to have just a simple salad for lunch, but adding the ham to it, made me feel like i was having something more fulfilling.

I guess that if i have to make one complaint it would be the size of the package. I would actually see more slices of ham in it and maybe a bit bigger, as they didn't last long in our house.

We are a small family of myself, my partner and our young son.I buy denny ham every week we use it for work lunches, in some dinners such as pasta bakes pizza ect and snacks during the day for my 21month old son.

I really enjoyed the crumb coated ham however my son seemed to prefer the honey glazed one and my partners favourite was the smoked. The packaging is pretty unique and its easy to tell that it is part of the Denny 100% Natural ingredients, I like the fact its natural and organic as i try to give my son the best thats out there however i feel three slices of ham in a pack is just not enough, this is the only thing that would put me off purchasing it in the future.
Overall the ham was enjoyed by all three in this family :)))

hi!
thanks for the Denny Pack which I received on Saturday afternoon. We had just arrived home from my kids soccer match and they were starving so I made sandwiches sraight away. The ham packs were really delicious and I really noticed the difference in taste and quality to regular ham. However, all 3 packs were gone in exactly 10 minutes. They were devoured by 3 hungry boys. I would probably not buy this product for the lunchboxes as it is a little expensive for just 3 slices. 3 packs would not last a day in my house and that would be 6euro a day just to give them sandwiches. I would buy the packets if I was having an adult meal but defo not for everyday use. Yummy but too expensive for the kids lunches. The favourite pack was the oak smoked ham.
thanks a lot for giving us the opportunity to try the product.

My family goes through around 20 slices of ham a week at least. We are all big fans. We eat it in our sandwiches pretty much everyday, all 4 of us. We also use it in some dinners such as carbonaras & homemade pizzas. My 3 year old is such a fussy eater & when the rest of us are eating something he doesn't like for dinner he has slices of ham rolled up so this was perfect for him especially for dinners. I'd feel better giving him this as its 100% natural.

I tried the crumbed ham which was my favourite & the oak smoked. My husband happily finished off the honey glazed before I got to it but he informs me it was gorgeous.

While it was perfect for dinners I thought the packs were too small for lunches as one pack wouldn't do all 4 lunches in this house. If there was a larger family pack we would definitely be getting it, otherwise I would still buy it but only for dinners.

Having been converted to Denny Naturals thinner sliced ham when it was launched and only eating that since, I was really looking forward to trying out the thicker ham. Perhaps my expectations were a little too high because I was actually disappointed when it arrived. There was only 3 small slices in the packet and when I tried it first, I thought it was a bit soggy and rubbery. I was expecting it to be more like ham off the bone and not so processed. My husband was also a bit disappointed with it, which is unusual because he'll eat anything!! LOL My kids enjoyed it but again, they preferred the thinner ham.

We buy a lot of ham every week for lunches in work and school. We would also use it on pizzas, salads, sandwiches and such like. The packaging is instantly recognisable as being from the 100% naturals range. The reason I wanted to trial it was because we were so impressed by the thinner version having no artificial ingredients in it. Out of each of the flavours I did prefer the crumbed one. The amount in the packet is quite small, so anyone with a large or hungry family will end up buying a lot of packets of it every week. I don't think I would buy the thicker version myself but would definitely continue to buy the thinner version.

I received my samples last week and so far have used the Oak Smoked pack and will be starting on the Honey Roast tomorrow. I found the Oak Smoked to be full of flavour and it made a delicious sandwich. The slices were the ideal thickness for you to get the full smoky flavour of the ham. I found the slices to be just the right size for a sandwich but my husband remarked that he would have liked them to be a little bigger. I felt that the pack could have done with having another slice in it as it was finished in just one day.The packaging was easily recognisable and identifiable as being Denny and 100% natural. I also found the packaging easy to open but have yet to try out resealing it as it was all eaten in one go! I am looking forward to trying the Honey Roast tomorrow and will keep you posted on my thoughts.

Thank you MummyPages for the ham samples, which we thoroughly enjoyed tasting.
I have 3 sons (4,7 & 9) who all love ham. We eat a lot of ham, probably everyday by some member of the family, usually as a sandwich filler, but as part of other dishes too. My kids love eating it on it's own as a snack too. I have been concerned in the past that we possibly eat too much ham, so it was most welcome that this Denny Ham is sold as having no artificial additives. That carries a lot of weight with me.
The packaging was recognisable, though I thought a little flimsy. One of the packets was actually open when it arrived, which wasn't ideal.
We all really enjoyed all 3 types of ham sampled. My husband, in particular, loved the thicker slices. All 3 were very tasty, though the honey glazed was probably the favourite, followed by the crumb coated.
I would consider buying the Denny range now having tasted it. However, the packet size is way too small for a family of 5. I tend to buy larger packets of ham (or many slices at the deli counter), so I'm not sure, in reality, if I would ever buy packets this small. I would definitely buy them if there were more slices in each packet.
Many thanks again.

I received my three packs last Saturday and they were demolished at lunchtime, there are 5 of us in this house - myself, hubby and three sons
We eat ham almost every day in sambos, wraps etc so I would have tried most brands on the market , I am quite fussy about what one I buy as theres no point in my opinion in buying something thats full of salt and other nasties - its great there is now a healthy option available
The three packs were demolished straight away and made very tasty sandwiches for lunch, my favourite was the smoked one but everyone else liked the crumbed ham - the honey glazed was eaten but wasnt a favourite by anyone

I dont think I would use this for dinner tbh as it wouldnt fill up my lot I prefer to cook a piece of ham as I think it works out better value
Overall I would buy this but it would really depend on the price as there are only three slices in each pack and one son would use a full pack in a sandwich so it could work out very expensive for me

I was thrilled when the lovely boxed Denny thicker style natural ham arrived at my door. Big smile This was the day after I had done our weekly shopping, which included 4 packs of Denny natural ham, so I now had 7 packs of Denny natural ham for our family - Mum, Dad, 5 year old boy and 5 month old baby boy.

We eat ham every day, so I had no question about it being eaten before the end of the week and by today, it is all gone! We eat ham for lunch, sandwiches, home made pizza, pasta, risotto, toasted sandwiches etc.

It is very important to me that my family eat natural, preservative, chemical free foods. I am the type of consumer that would happily spend more and buy less, to ensure natural, healthier food on the table. When I saw the ads for Denny natural ham and then saw in the supermarket, I bought a pack and have not looked back. The taste is great, there are never any complaints, so I am a Denny natural ham convert. The surprising thing to me is that value for money - there is no compromise here!

When I received the box of Denny thicker cut ham, I was instantly aware that it was part ofo the Denny deli style 100% natural ingredients ham. It is very clear from the packaging and design that it is the same range, so I am confident in the contents being as tasty, good value and healthy.

So, I decided how I would use the additional ham this week. First we had all the Crumb coated ham in a home made pizza on Tuesday evening - it was devoured in a matter of minutes! The pizza was delicious - the ham was perfect. We normally used the Denny natural ham (thin variety) on our home made pizza but I found this not as satisfying as the thicker cut ham.

I then used all the oak smoked ham on Wednesday for a risotto and again the meal was delicious, the thicker cut ham worked perfectly and was a lot more convenient than cooking bacon or other meats which we would have previously used.

Lastly, I used the honey glazed ham in toasted sandwiches today and they were very tasty and satisfying.

Altogether very successful trial! I will now continue to buy 4 packs of Denny natural ham each week, but I will buy one or two packs of Denny natural thicker cut ham to ensure I have on hand for our evening meals.

Thank you for allowing us be part of this trial - I am always looking for more natural products for my family.Smiling

We are a family of 5, 2 adults, 3 school going kids, although 2 of them are teenage boys so eat more than most adults! We go through alot of everything, including ham.
They have ham in their lunch twice or 3 times a week, as does my husband. I also use ham in the dinner once or twice a week.
I was never particularly brand loyal when choosing ham, went for the highest pork content I could afford, until Denny 100% natural ham, now it is my brand of choice, so I was delighted to hear of the new thicker sliced ham being launched which means the pasta dishes and omelettes I use ham for can now also be made with Denny 100% natural.
It is great that they've stuck with their recognisable packaging, so I can grab and run in the supermarket without having to check all the packets.
Having previously preferred crumbed ham to other varieties I was interested to try the Oak smoked thick cut ham, I used it in omelettes for lunch on Saturday and it was delicious, I would definitely buy this variety again.
I used the crumbed ham in a pasta dish (the 3 ps in Italian, Panna, prosciutto e piselli......cream, ham and peas). It was far more convenient the ham I used to buy for this as it came in a big chunk so took longer to prepare. The size of the packet is perfect so there is no waste.
I used the honey glazed packet as a pizza topping, my boys love home made pizza but we find the thin sliced ham doesn't add enough flavour so the thick cut is ideal.
Overall I would say I liked the Oak smoked variety the best but all were enjoyed.
I will definitely buy Denny 100% natural thicker cut ham in the future, especially when it's on offer;-) I do think the rrp of €1.99 is a bit steep for 80g ham but I suppose you get what you pay for and I would be willing to pay it for the fact there are no artificial additives or preservatives in it.

We recieved the packs on Saturday Morning, and opened the crumbed ham first, I liked the texture and smells, The packaging was good. The slices where on the short side so if making a samdwich 2 would be required.
Tuesday we had the Honey Glazed and this was beautiful and the kids had it in a wrap for lunch and informed me how much they enjoyed it, and the slices where thicker they found it more meaty. I was allowed a small morsel to try while I made the lunches, it was like a homecooked ham that we used to get years ago from the meat counter sliced in front of you, when I was young.

The Smoked Ham had to have been the least favourite of mine, a little to over powering in a sandwich but would be beautiful with a salad and some cheese and crusty bread.

On the packs the slices are thicker but are very small, 3 slices is an odd number not enough for 2 sandwiches so you would end up using all the slices on one sandwich / salad. No real point of leaving one slice of ham in the fridge.

I would buy the Denny thicker cut again ham again but it would be a treat and not part of the every day shopping list.

Thank you for choosing me to be part of the Mum Says group, I really enjoyed the experience and was delighted to discover that I liked a product that I may not have considered buying.

We buy approx 15 slices of Denny's honey glazed ham every week. we use them generally in sandwiches either at home or at school. I find that I would put two thin slices in my sandwich as otherwise the slice of ham would be lost in between two slices of bread. So I was delighted to experience the thicker slice.

Firstly I was impressed with the box the trial packs arrived in. On opening the box it was very visible that the three packs were part of the Denny range. And I was made aware straight away that there were three flavours. I must admit that I did not really like the packaging. I felt it was a bit flimsy. And I disliked the fact that I could not look through the back of the packet. Maybe there is no need for this as it is a quality product compared to other hams out there but I like this option.

We Decided to try the Crumb coated slices first. The first thing that struck us was the fact that the packet did not seem to reseal after opening. It seemed to be made of very flimsy plastic and the seal did not seem to be as strong as the Denny thin slice. Next we discovered that we only got ham on about two thirds of our sandwich as the slices were smaller than what we were used to. We are a slice pan family and like the ham to go to the edges. So it was a case that we had to use one and a half slices. This meant that we only got two sandwiches from every packet. For this reason I would prefer if the slices were normal size or that there were five slices at least in every pack. We all really enjoyed the crumb coated ham.

Next we went to try the honey glazed ham. This would be the flavour we would purchase the most when buying the thin slices. We were immediately disappointed as this flimsy packaging had not sealed on one corner so there was no vacuum. There was about a one and a half inch gap either side of the corner. So we put this flavour aside.

Next we tried the oak smoked flavour. It would be a flavour I would not buy for fear the taste would be too strong. I used this slices in the toasted sandwich maker and the aroma was quite strong but the taste was just perfect.

I do not know if I had a favourite out of the two. I would certainly eat them again but I think if I was to buy one it would be the honey glazed even though we did not get to taste it.

It is very visible that these hams are part of the Denny's 100% Natural range. It is very important to me to get value for money without compromising on taste and quality. At € 1.50 it is an excellent product. I do not think I would buy the product if it was being sold at higher than the RRP of € 1.99 unless the size of the slice or the number of slices was to increase. I will certainly buy it again while on offer but I will be checking the seal on each packets. Next time I think I would use it in our dinners and on pizzas and quiches. I much healthier alternative to bacon pieces

Thank you once again for allowing to take part in this taste trial

Ok so I have to admit I'm not into packaged ham at all. My daughter, aged 7 loves it and it's all she'll eat for her lunch and my two yr old son loves it and just takes slices out of the packet.

We only buy Denny and now that it's 100% natural ingredients and additive and preservative free I feel even better that I'm giving them something healthy. I will definitely continue to buy only Denny now as it's very important to me that I know they're getting something good for them.

We got the delivery of the thicker cut ham just in time for lunch. I have to say I'm a convert. It was delicious, particularly the smoked one. I nearly didn't leave any for my hubby but decided I'd convert him too. He's now bringing it to work for lunch in sandwiches.

I've sinced used it in baked potatoes, omelettes, on pizza and made little cheese sticks with strips of the ham for the kids.

My only thing is that there simply isn't enough in the pack. More slices please for my greedy sods and perhaps for the same price as it is a little pricey. Although if it is on offer you can bulk buy and freeze it, just not the crumbed version. I'm more inclined to use it in cooking rather than just sandwiches.

Thanks Denny

I thought this ham was really delicious. I now only buy dennys natural ham because there are no nasty additives or preservatives and I enjoyed these slices with my lunch. They were lovely and thick and juicy, very nice hot too.

I did think they are a little over priced in that you only get three slices in a pack, I couldn't afford to be buying thick slices and letting the kids eat them for snacks, at that price they would have to be part of a meal.

They are ideal to be chopped into pasta or in a lovely big ham sandwich or salad.

I think I liked the crumbed best though they were all lovely.

thanks again
