Earlier today, we broke some devastating news from Aberdeen in Scotland, and sadly, we have yet another tragic report to share this evening.

Authorities in Virginia have confirmed that the body of a three-year-old boy has been recovered, just hours after he was reported missing from his home.

Little Cameron Thomas, who has non-verbal autism, was found in marshland close by to his family home. A team of divers made the devastating discovery just minutes after volunteers returned home from a night-time search for the child.

It is believed that Cameron ‘slipped’ out of a window with a broken screen yesterday evening. The child’s father, Cody, was in the shower at the time, while his mother, Rachel, was out running errands.

The Thomas’ contacted the police after discovering that little Cameron was missing, and a wide-scale search was launched in the community. Authorities were overwhelmed by the support shown by locals, with volunteers turning up in their droves to help with the search.

As tributes continue to pour in for Cameron, friends of the family have set up a GoFundMe page (link here) to raise money for the funeral costs.

Our hearts go out to the Thomas family at this most tragic time.
