According to reports, the shooting which happened on a basketball court on Saturday night left one person dead and nine others injured.

Talking to Fox2 about the shocking incident, Assistant Police Chief Steve Dolunt said: "It's a miracle that not one kid is shot, "I don't know what the hell these people were thinking with this many kids out here. I'm livid. There's no excuse for this."

According to the police a 20-year man was killed, but they won’t release any further information until all relatives have been informed.

Another man is critically injured while five men and three women – ranging in ages from 21 to 46 - are said to have serious injuries.

There were a number of families in attendance at the barbecue, with small children in strollers, and according to Dolunt: “Through the grace of God no children were shot.”
