The most magical place on earth has also just become more expensive.

Over the weekend, ticket prices for Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California rose. The move is not much of a surprise, considering that Disney has raised prices annually since the 1970s, but still proves quite important for families making the journey to see Mickey and Minnie.

One-day admission into the Magic Kingdom in Orlando will now set back adults as much as $129 each (about €104), up by $5 (around €4) from the original price, according to the Associated Press. Kids' tickets now cost $123 (almost €100) during these 'peak' times.

On 'value' days, these tickets will be $109 (about €88) for adults and $103 (€83) for children, a $2 (€1.62) increase. During 'regular' times, the Orlando-located Magic Kingdom will cost $119 (about €96) for adult admission and $113 (about €91) for kids, or $4 (€3.24) more than before.

Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios, also located at Walt Disney World in Florida, have increased their value day prices by $2 (€1.62), making them $102 (nearly €83) for adults and $96 (almost €78) for youngsters.

Their regular day tickets are $114 (about €92) for adults and $108 (about €87) for kids, with peak times costing $122 (almost €99) and $116 (around €94), respectively.

If you're more into the West Coast, Disneyland in Anaheim, California has seen a $7 (€5.66) jump in regular prices, up to $117 (nearly €95). During peak times, prices have increased by $11 (€8.90) to $135 (€109). Single-day value tickets, however, are remaining at $97 (about €78).

These price hikes come in advance of Paradise Pier's re-opening at California Adventure Park, which, according to Variety, is now incorporating some beloved Pixar characters!

The value, regular, and peak pricing designations, otherwise known as flexible pricing, have been around since 2015. The scheme was introduced by the park in an effort to reduce overcrowding.

"We know how important making memories at Disney theme parks is to our guests, and we will continue to evolve our pricing in a way that gives them a range of options to meet their budget and helps better spread attendance throughout the year so they can make the most of every visit," a Disneyland Resort spokesperson noted, Variety reports.

They also plan to release specific-date tickets in 2018 to encourage people to visit Walt Disney World at certain times.

"Given the small percentage of guests that purchase a 1-day ticket at Walt Disney World, extending pre-published, date-specific pricing to multi-day tickets will further advance our efforts spread to attendance throughout the year," Andrea Finger, spokesperson for Walt Disney World, told the Associated Press.

What do you think of the jump in price, mums? Will you be taking your kids to the most magical place on earth anytime soon?
