Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 20th anniversary in magical style, with lots of surprises in store for 2012. In 1992 Disneyland Paris opened its doors for the first time to thousands of visitors. Since its opening, Disneyland Paris has welcomed more than 250 million visitors, establishing itself as Europe’s leading tourist destination.
To mark Disneyland Paris’ 20th anniversary, they are hosting an explosion of magic throughout 2012 with plenty of surprises and new features for visitors to enjoy.
Disney Dreams! is the new show that will dazzle guests after dark with thousands of lights, colours and magic. This new feature tells a moving, magical story. Peter Pan guides guests as they discover (or re-discover) the greatest Disney stories, including Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Rapunzel, and many more. The Disney characters come to life on the façade of Sleeping Beauty Castle and on two water screens. Brand new special effects, dazzling lasers, spectacular water sprays, much-loved Disney songs and breathtaking firework effects all come together to create an unforgettable event. Disney Dreams! is a show not to be missed and takes place in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, Disneyland Park.
Disney magic can now be experience in their parade, which has been transformed in honour of Disneyland Paris’ 20th anniversary. New floats, a new soundtrack, new choreography and new magicians’ costumes for the Disney characters have all been created for the celebrations. Disney Magic on Parade! is a fabulous event that is filled with colour, magic and laughter. It takes place on Main Street, U.S.A., Disneyland Park.
Disney’s 10th Anniversary Celebration Train brings Disney characters to meet guests in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. This train passes through Main Street, U.S.A. several times a day with Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Chip & Dale on board dressed in their new party clothes. This is a lovely way to meet your favourite Disney friends and wish a “Happy Birthday” to Disneyland Paris.
Disneyland Paris will also offer guests the chance to continue with a festival of magical moments in the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. Enjoy a cup of tea as you plunge into The Wonderful World of Alice and The Mad Hatter (Fantasyland, Disneyland Park), rub Aladdin’s Magic Lamp (Adventureland, Disneyland Park), have a romantic moment with Wall-E (Discoveryland, Disneyland Park), jive at Adventureland Rhythm of the Jungle (Adventureland, Disneyland Park), smile and say “cheese” with Remy and Emile, the heroes of Ratatouille (Backlot, Walt Disney Studios) and discover the Moteurs… Action! Stunt Show Spectacular featuring Lightning McQueen.
The Disney Princess will be welcoming visitors in brand new surroundings, where they will invite visitors to an enchanted rendezvous. Located next to the ‘it’s a small world’ attraction, this new magical attraction will give visitors the chance to pose with one the Disney Princesses.
