The Dublin Docklands Christmas Festival has been running for eight years and is a truly magic festival with Christmas trees, fairy lights, carol singing and traditional Victorian fairground rides. This year’s market and performances will take place around Georges Dock and it surrounding area.
Mums will be able to do their Christmas shopping while the kids enjoy the fairground and with so many different food and craft stalls you won’t be stuck for a gift idea. Why not pick up handmade, fair-trade clothing at Inspired Earth’s stall, treat the Harry Potter fanatic in your life to a handmade timber magic wand at A Kind of Magic Wand or shop high-end cold and wet weather clothing at Kiwi Country Clothing.
There will also be a host of performances throughout the day and evening including the St. Louis Brass Band, Starkids, The Soulful Gospel Choir and the Newbridge Stage Academy.
Get involved in the Dig and Reveal Treasure hunt and take the DART into the Docklands. The family treasure hunt begins on the DART with two clues that can be seen at the last two stations as you approach Connolly.
