As a warning to the public, the Dublin Fire Brigade have released photographs of a bedroom which was destroyed during a blaze which broke out in a Dublin home yesterday.

Using Twitter as a platform to remind the public of the dangers of leaving electrical devices unattended, the service uploaded images which clearly illustrate the devastation caused by a household fire.

It is understood that the fire which blazed in a home in Esker, Lucan was caused by an electric blanket which was left plugged in in one of the bedrooms.

According to the Irish Independent, three fire engines were called to the scene of the blaze in the Dublin suburb yesterday afternoon and were, thankfully, able to control the blaze.

The Twitter post confirmed that no one was injured during the household accident.
