Emmerdale star Adam Thomas and his wife Caroline have welcomed a baby girl. The soap actor announced their exciting news with an adorable family photo.
The Instagram shot showed the couple's newest addition to the family.
The birth of the baby girl was announced in the sweet snap.
The Emmerdale star captioned the photo: 'I owe you everything' and tagged his wife.
Caroline also shared a stunning photo of her cuddling her newborn daughter. The doting mum revealed that they called her Elsie-Rose. What a perfect name for their baby girl!
The pair are already parents to three-year-old Teddy.
The couple announced on Instagram that they were adding to their family in December of last year.
Caroline captioned the announcement:
"The Thomas’s [heart] @adamthomas21 Thank you so much for everyone’s lovely messages, we are over the moon to be adding another little member to our team! #teamthomas#bumplife #morningsickness out in this weeks @ok_mag."
Explaining the circumstances of how she found out she was pregnant to OK! Magazine, the mum-of-two penned:
"I’d been feeling really tired and then suddenly it hit me, that was exactly how I felt when I was pregnant with Teddy. My mum went out and got a test and I left Adam downstairs while I took it.
"After I realised it was positive, I gave it to Teddy and told him to give it to Adam. I downloaded a pregnancy app and worked out that we got pregnant on our wedding day."
The couple recently celebrated their ten year anniversary together, with Adam captioning the wedding photo:
"10 years I’ve spent with this beautiful woman !!! 10 years !!! Can not wait to spend the rest of my life with her !! [heart] carolinethomas23 love you, Mrs Thomas!"
The actor had previously said in an interview with OK! Magazine, that he would be very emotional if their baby turned out to be a girl.
"I’ve not cried throughout the pregnancy but if I find out we’re having a girl, I will probably cry. I’m convinced we’re having another boy so it’ll be quite overwhelming if I find out we’re having a daughter."
The closest the actor has come to experiencing a daughter is through his niece, Scarlett.
"I see the way Ryan is with his daughter Scarlett and it’s a totally different relationship to the one I have with Teddy. Being a dad to a girl would be a lovely experience."
