For a tasty recipe to make with the kids this Easter holiday, these Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Extraordinary Easter Eggs are a lovely treat. This recipe is so simple and fun that children can do most of the work themselves. A lovely easter treat for everyone in the family!

Ingredients:
  • 195g of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies
  • 300g marshmallows
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 45g butter
  • Icing, sweets or sprinkles to decorate
Steps:
  • Put the butter into a big saucepan.
  • Put the heat on low and melt the butter slowly. Keep stirring.
  • Next, pour all the squishy marshmallows into the pan to melt.
  • Keep stirring until the marshmallows have melted, then remove from the heat.
  • Now add a few drops of vanilla essence to your mixture to make it really tasty.
  • To add some Easter magic, add a few drops of your favourite food colouring to change the colour.
  • Now it’s time to add Kellogg’sRice Krispies! Pour them into the pan and stir everything together.
  • Pop the mixture in to a big bowl and let it cool down a bit so everyone can get their hands in.
  • With your hands, take a small handful of mixture and roll it into an egg shape. Keep going until the mixture is all gone.
  • Pop the finished eggs into the fridge for a little while to firm up, ready for decorating.
  • Make your eggs look egg-stra special with some lovely decorations, and put them all in a bowl ready to eat!
If your kids want to make colourful eggs, why not separate the mixture into several smaller bowls before adding food colouring so you can make lots of different colours at once? They’ll look great!

If you prefer chocolate at Easter time (like many of us do) then instead of using marshmallow and vanilla essence, mix the Rice Krispies into melted chocolate to make delicious chocolate eggs.
