Calling all Mums! The AES Festival Family (2nd May) day at the Punchestown Festival is just around the corner and there is so much to look forward to for all the family. The five day festival takes place from Tuesday 28th April to Saturday 2nd May.

The Punchestown Junior Jockey Fun Club is a massive 60,000 square feet area dedicated to free children’s entertainment. There will be Bouncy Castles, theme park bounce ‘N’ slide, face painters, pony rides, Disco Dome and a huge soft finish obstacle course.
On arrival at Punchestown, families will be greeted by live street theatre with jugglers, stilt walkers, clowns and balloon artists mingling through the crowd. At 1.30 the 20 piece Tallaght Festival Band will lead the now famous Punchestown Fancy Dress parade and we would encourage children of all ages to dress up and take part. There will be prizes for first, second and third place with the overall winner receiving an amazing art supplies hamper. All participants will go home with a goodie bag. Live music and Leah Moran Stage School displays will happen on the main stage before racing.
Another great reason to visit Punchestown on AES Family Day is the chance to win a brand new Ssangyong Korando SUV for your family for a year. The five seater Korando valued at €26,000, kindly supplied by SsangYong Motors Ireland will be on display at Punchestown on May 2nd and everyone in attendance on the day is invited to enter the draw.
Not to be forgotten there is plenty on offer for Mums and Dads also. In addition to the top class racing Punchestown will also host a Festival Shopping Village that houses over 60 exhibitors. Stands will display art, furniture, designer children’s clothing, beautiful hand crafted hats, headpieces and jewellery.
Ladies should also note that earlier in the week the Gold Fever Best Dressed Lady competition will take place and the first prize is definitely well worth getting dressed up for! You could win an amazing once in a lifetime all-inclusive trip for two to Makanyai Private Game Resort in South Africa along with €4,000 worth of premium hair extension product from Gold Fever. A winner will be chosen from a panel of finalists each day with the overall Best Dressed Lady being selected on Friday 1st May.
