Sophia Newcombe was unpacking her family’s weekly groceries when she saw a cocoon attached to a bunch of bananas she had bought.

The white cocoon was housing dozens of the world’s deadliest spiders when Sophia dropped it to the ground causing the spiders to scatter around the kitchen.

Sophia’s husband Ashley Gamble used the hoover in an effort to capture the spiders but the family were forced to leave the house because they worried there may be more lurking in their home.

The Brazilian spiders are among some of the most venomous in the world and can cause long and extremely painful erections in males followed by death in just a matter of hours.

The spider’s venom can also cause abdominal cramps, hypothermia and blurred vision.

The family have now found alternative accommodation as they wait for their home to fumigated.

Sophia and Ashley are now saying ASDA should pay for this after the spiders were found on produce from their store.

ASDA have apologised for the incident and have promised to do a full investigation.
