Looking for a fun way to welcome the summer with the family? There are a huge range of fun family events taking place at this year’s Dublin Dance Festival. The festival is being held across the city from May 11th – May 26th.
 
Spanish company Aracaladanza are famous for their stylish performances for children and they will be showing the enchanting, action-packed Nubes (Clouds) at Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire on May 12th and 13th. Inspired by surrealist artist flippers, ladders, puppets and much more. The show is suitable for audiences 4+.
 
Grafton Street will host a colourful celebration at 4pm on Sunday May 20th. (In) Visible Dancing by Luca Silvestrini’s Protein will be joined by a host of local musicians and dancers of all ages on a mission to sweep away daily cares with a fantastic street show. There will also be guerrilla dance taking place on Grafton Street in the days leading up to the 20th of May. These events are free and no tickets are needed.
 
Dublin Dance Festival and Temple Bar Cultural Trust will present Encounter Indian Dance: Sacred Geometry to close the celebrations. This is another free outdoor event where renowned performer Divya Kasturi will be presenting the sights and sounds of classical Indian dance. This will take place in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar on Saturday May 26th at 7pm.
