Family-friendly Halloween movies to watch this spooky season

Halloween is right around the corner and whether you’re a lover of all things spooky or prefer a more toned-down fright night, you can’t miss out on watching Halloween movies this season. 

When it comes to watching scary movies with children at home, we don’t want to frighten them with huge jumpscares or gory thrillers, but we do still want our little ones to enjoy this chilling time of year.

Casper

A mum and her son hire a group of so-called spiritual experts to help rid their home of supernatural beings after discovering her house is inhabited by ghosts.

Coraline

Coraline and her family moves to an old house, only to discover a hidden door with a bricked up passage. When she goes through the door, she finds an idealised parallel world where everybody has buttons instead of eyes. When the Other Mother invites Coraline to stay in her world forever, the girl refuses and finds that the alternate reality where she is trapped is a trick.

Monster House

Three young teens who try to convince those around them that a house nearby is not only haunted, but also living- but nobody believes them. The trio must now do their best to protect young children from going into the house.
