As all local clubs know, fund raising is par for the course for everyone involved, which means you're never too far away from a quiz night, a raffle or an annual golf classic. So imagine their joy when Bray Hockey Club won the grand prize of €10,000 in last year's Cash for Clubs initiative.

Cash for Clubs offers an all-inclusive platform, which ensures everyone is a winner and rewards the tireless work of clubs across the country that demonstrate commitment to their communities, day in and day out.

To get involved, all you have to do is register online (playorpark.ie) or on the PlayorPark app and then just swipe your Play Or Park loyalty card for every fuel purchase at any Circle K location. Every time you spend €30 on fuel, you'll get a token, and you only need 500 tokens to be in with a chance to win.  You then collect and pledge your tokens to your selected club.

Once the club / group has 500 tokens, they will be entered into a draw to win various cash prizes, including the top prize of €10,000.

And this is exactly what Bray Hockey Club, Co. Wickow did last year, supported by members and friends of the club who all pulled together to pledge their tokens to the club.

Bray Hockey Club was then randomly drawn as the lucky grand prize winner, scooping the top prize of €10,000.

Bray Hockey Club and so many others play a really important role in the local community as they offer an opportunity for people of all ages, for families and friends to get together to learn new skills, to socialise and to be active. And whilst fund raising is always on the agenda, it's nice to think a large sum can be achieved when the community work together to give back.

Of the win last year, Sarah O'Connor, the Bray Hockey Club Treasurer said:
"We are absolutely thrilled to be the winners of this years Cash for Clubs grand prize! €10,000 will go such a long way and will enable us to invest in new equipment and the development of our facilities. We are incredibly grateful and excited for what we can achieve..."

And this year it could be your local club. So what are you waiting for? Sign up here.
