1. Exhibition of the official Three Sisters European Capital of Culture Bid Book

The people of Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford are being given an exciting opportunity to view an exhibition of the official Three Sisters European Capital of Culture Bid Book this week. The three counties have come together in an historic partnership as the Three Sisters, in a bid to win the European Capital of Culture (ECoC) title for 2020. Free, public exhibitions of the Bid Book across the three counties will celebrate the fantastic achievement of the team in succeeding to shortlist the region for the ECoC title.

2. 28th Galway Film Fleadh

This Saturday, 9th July, Women in Film and Television Ireland (WFT.I) in association with the 28th Galway Film Fleadh are presenting a special panel on creating a stronger voice for women - when writing, casting and auditioning. Panelists include screenwriter Kirsten Smith who co-wrote Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You and Ella Enchanted, casting supremo Louise Kiely, and actor Seána Kerslake, who stars in upcoming feature A Date for Mad Mary.

3. Get Animated! at The Ark in Temple Bar

To inspire young people to create their own animation, The Ark is delighted to host Song of the SeaThe Exhibition until Wednesday, 31st August. This beautiful exhibition gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the making of the Oscar® nominated film by Irish animation company Cartoon Saloon. There will also be two FREE special events around it.
