A 22-year-old father from Oregon has been arrested after police obtained footage of him blowing cannabis smoke in his child's mouth.

Christopher Robert Kling was arrested after police officials were called to the home of the accused's estranged wife.

Having responded to a domestic disturbance call on Sunday morning, the police soon diffused the situation and allowed Kling to return to the house.

However, a concerned acquaintance felt compelled to hand footage over to the police which shows the young father blowing cannabis smoke into his child's mouth.

Commenting on the incident, police officer Michael Rowe, said: "He explained to the officers that he was concerned for the child's safety because had seen Kling blowing smoke into the infant's mouth. He had told officers that that wasn't the first time he's seen that happen."

Kling, who was arrested on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a minor, is now being held at Washington County Jail.
