The man accused of throwing his five-year-old daughter Phoebe from a bridge in Florida has been found incompetent to stand trial.

John Jonchuck, who has a history of mental illness, was arrested on January 8th for first-degree murder after authorities claimed he dropped his child 60 feet from a bridge in a horrifying move which resulted in the little girl's death.

As it stands the case has been reset until February 17th, but if the court rules in accordance with hospital reports the accused may be sent to a hospital for six months before the case returns to court.

A report released this week by a state task force suggest that officials failed to attend to Phoebe's needs in the time leading up to her tragic death.
