Anyone who has been there will know that there are few things sadder than wanting children and not being able to have them. So, when a couple finally gets their happy ending, everyone joins in the celebration.

This turned out to be the case for the McGill family, this week.

In a touching post shared to the Together We Rise Facebook page, Mum and Dad revealed that, after 15 years of infertility, they have finally become parents.

They explained how their biological niece entered foster care at the age of seven months. Despite the couple’s best efforts to provide the child with a loving family, however, they were prevented from doing so – just because they weren’t in the same state.

They refused to give up on the tot though, and after a ‘long and tough process’, they were recently able to welcome the little one into their family and home.

“A year-and-a-half later, we FINALLY got to bring her home, and six months later we got to finalise the adoption,” they wrote.

The proud parents added: “Madison Ann McGill spent 928 days in foster care, but today isn’t one!”

As you can imagine, their story has touched hearts all over the world.
