In an effort to highlight the importance of enjoying a healthy diet and active lifestyle, cereal giant, Kelloggs, launched the very first ‘Kelloggs Powering Play’ workshop at Cuala GAA club in Dalkey and by the looks of things, it got off to an incredible start!

The nutritional module, piloted by the much-loved company in association with the GAA, encourages children to embrace healthy living through fun and games.

Motivated by the results of a survey which indicated children were operating on incorrect nutritional information, Kelloggs developed the programme to educate children on the benefits of starting their day with a balanced breakfast.

With the survey revealing a quarter of children were under the assumption that junk food provides them with enough energy to excel at sport, the family favourite set about rectifying the issue.

With 10% of children admitting that they only include healthy food in their diet at the behest of their parents or teachers, the ‘Kelloggs Powering Play’ workshop aimed to communicate the importance of eating well of their own accord.

With over 1,000 clubs around the country hosting the Kellog’s GAA Cúl Camps, your child is sure to benefit from their expertise.
