Flying is not exactly everyone’s cup of tea, so we can imagine there were quite a few angry passengers on a recent flight from Russia’s Moscow to Vladivostok.

According to reports, the flight was delayed for seven hours – leaving over 500 passengers stranded – after one woman decided she needed an urgent divorce from her husband.

The plane is said to have been taxiing the runway on Monday when the woman demanded to be let off, saying she was ‘not in the mood to fly’. Obliged to follow appropriate safety precautions, the crew had to lead disgruntled passengers off the plane, and all luggage had to be passed through security once again.

An eye witness who was on the plane, Elena Shteynikova, was one of many passengers to share videos of the incident to social media.

Posting a video of passengers disembarking from the plane, Elena wrote: “She changed her mind at the time of take-off. For more than an hour they tried to persuade her to stay. But she said that she needed to get a divorce and she had to get out.”

Speaking of the agonising subsequent seven-hour delay, she added: “500 people waiting for this flight [to] Vladivostok, and many have broken connecting flights. There were those who broke down and gave up the flight.”

We can’t imagine how frustrating this must have been.

The airline was said to have ‘remained silent’ over the incident.
