Footage of a mother’s reaction when confronted by a police officer for leaving her one-year-old in a sweltering hot car has gone viral around the world.

 

Similar to another report we shared this week, Hannah Secondi was shopping in an Oklahoma supermarket, and left her one-year-old daughter in the car.

 

Thankfully, a passer-by spotted the child and raised the alarm with the authorities, who were able to take the child to safety.

 

When Secondi was confronted, she reacted with utter shock and horror at the scene before her. Her response was captured on camera, and the gut-wrenching footage has been shared around the world to drive home just how serious the issue is.

 

Secondi has now been detained and is expected to be charged with child neglect. The child, meanwhile, is now in the care of her father.
