The last time that Chris and Michelle Doyle were in the news, it was for a very joyful reason – they had just smashed odds of 500,000-to-one by welcoming their third set of twins into the world.

However, four years later, the family’s situation has very much changed.

The Doyle family’s local community, in Portlaoise, has reportedly rallied around them following the recent passing of father Chris.

According to Independent.ie, Chris died earlier this month at the age of 37. He was father to three sets of twins – Adam and Anthony; Lillian and Luke; and Ollie and Olivia – with beloved wife Michelle.

As we often find in caring communities around the country, the Doyles’ have reached out to help Michelle and her young family through this traumatic time.

A gig has been organised for 15th July, in Kavanagh’s Pub, with the aim of presenting Michelle with a nine-seater car to transport her little ones.

The gig will feature performances by local bands Blessed and Soulset, and tickets – costing €5 – are reportedly available from the venue as well as the Portlaoise Parish Centre shop and school offices in the locality.

Caring members of the community are hoping to sell 5,000 tickets.

We’re wishing them all the best, and our thoughts are with the Doyle family at this difficult time.
