Gardaí are appealing to the public to come forward with any information they may have after a teenage girl has been left in a critical condition in a Cork hospital.

According to reports, the 13-year-old girl at the centre of the incident allegedly fell from a bridge in Mahon at approximately 8am this morning.

Having been tended to by paramedics at the scene, the 13-year-old was rushed to hospital where her condition is said to be serious.

It has been established that the teen has sustained multiples fractures and internal injuries, with doctors working to stabalise her condition.
