According to reports, Gardaí are investigating what is believed to be the attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl in Donegal.
The teen is said to have been out jogging in the Ballybofey area when she was approached on three occasions by a man in a green car.
The frightening incident occurred yesterday, Tuesday, at around 6.45pm in the area between Finn Park and The Beeches housing estate. The girl is said to be very shaken and scared by the ordeal.
Gardaí have not released a car registration or physical description of the man, as the teenager was unable to recall specific details.
This latest story comes just months after the high-profile report of an attempted abduction in County Laois. A man was charged after dragging a 12-year-old girl into his car and attempting to drive away, only to be distracted by the girl’s younger brother. Thankfully, the child managed to escape, with Gardaí later arresting the culprit.
This latest report just goes to show how careful and vigilant we all need to be.
