A young mum of three children has been found dead at her home in Bandon, Co. Cork.

Her body was discovered yesterday at a house on the Richmond Estate, according to The Irish Sun.

The 30-year-old’s body was found when family members and neighbours became concerned after they were unable to get in touch with her. They raised the alarm and emergency services were alerted. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman is a native of Bandon and was well known in her local community. Tragically, her seven-year-old child was due to make their First Holy Communion today.

The mother’s body was taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will be carried out by the State Pathologist today.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances of the woman’s death and have been carrying out enquiries in the local neighbourhood.

Anyone who may have seen the woman over the last 72 hours has been asked to contact Bandon Garda Station.

According to The Irish Independent, there were no signs of a break-in at the property.
